Learn More About Dr. Smith

Ricky Smith, D.D.S. started his journey with Burlington Dental Center as an associate in October 2017. He was born and raised on a farm, south of Hartford, KS. He completed his graduation from Hartford High School in 1974. Later, he went to Emporia State University and graduated in 1978 with a degree in biology. He also attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City from 1979 to 1983.

He got married to his wife Wendy in August of 1983. Both of them moved to Hartford, KS and started his dental practice in Gridley, KS. They had their first son, Zachary, in March of 1988 and their second son, Corey, in September of 1990. They moved to Burlington, KS in 2003.

Dr. Smith is a member and past President of the Flint Hills Dental Society, a delegate from the Flint Hills Society to the Kansas Dental Association since 1983.

He was inducted into the International College of Dentists in 2000 and was recently awarded the Rinehart Medallion by the UMKC School of Dentistry for philanthropy, community service and his excellent service in the field of dentistry.
